Promotions

From time to time, Lime may offer promotional codes, offering free or discounted insurance at Lime’s discretion. You acknowledge that:

  • you may use only one promotional code discount at any time, across all policies; and
  • the discounted or free insurance is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation.

To redeem the promotional code

  • Follow the instructions on the offer email to a special URL.
  • Enter the promotional code.
  • Complete the application questions.

You acknowledge that you must satisfy the standard eligibility terms to redeem the promotional code. In order to be eligible to redeem the promotional code, you must be under 55 and meet the criteria as outlined by our lifestyle and medical questions.

Where the promotional code is in respect of discounted life insurance, the discount will automatically be applied to your selected cover (for example, if you have a promotion code for £10,000 free life insurance and choose a total of £100,000 of life insurance cover, Lime will pay for £10,000 of life insurance and you will pay for the remaining balance of £90,000).

Where the promotional code is in respect of free life insurance, you will not be required to pay for the life insurance during the period for which the promotion code applies (for example 12 months), even if the policy cover amount is updated.

Once the period for which the promotion code applies has expired (for example, after 12 months):

  • if you have chosen the free cover amount only, you can choose to provide your credit card details, or cancel your policy. We’ll send you a reminder before this occurs.
  • if you have chosen additional cover and provided your credit card details prior to the end of such period, you will automatically start being charged the full premium amount. We will remind you before this occurs and you can choose to review your cover.
